News for 2015
Dear Friends,
After 27 years of serving the community the Portiuncula Centre has closed on 12th April 2015. Over that period thousands of people have benefited.
Our reason for closing was the decline in numbers attending and along with that the substantial cost of maintaining such an establishment.
Our staff will continue to provide services. Melissa L’Estrange completed her Counsellor Training Program here in April and plans to provide that course in the future at another venue. She, along with Judy Dawson, Albert Scherrer, Lynette Fox and myself will continue in private practice and be available to people like yourselves.

What I will miss most is being with you in the unique atmosphere created at the centre. For me the personal connections with individuals has been precious and given meaning to my life.
